Michael's Baby Dedication

Sunday we celebrate Michael's dedication by going out to brunch with the family. Brian's parents have been visiting for the past week, so we had all kinds of family to celebrate with. It's been fun having them with us and staying cozy, warm inside while watching the snow fall.

Abby meets her new sister

Abby was so excited to have a new baby sister. On Thursday, she didn't even take a nap because she was so wound up and due to new visitation restrictions at the hospital because of the swine flu, Abby had to wait two days until she could meet little Leah. But we finally got to come home today and Abby got to meet the new addition to the family. Here's some photos of their first day together...

Leah Noel Henderson

Baby Leah is finally here!! She arrived at 4:57 a.m. weighing in at 7 lbs. 9 oz. and measuring 19 1/2 inches long. Mother and baby are both doing well and the entire experience this time was incredibly quick and smooth. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Here are a few shots of her first moments with us...

In labor!!!

Just wanted to let you know that we are in labor and at the hospital. Everything is progressing really well and Rachel is doing an incredible job so far. Shouldn't be too much longer. Check back later today for the official announcement and hopefully even some pictures too. Thanks so much for all your prayers!

Let the games begin!

Thought it was time to give you a belly update. My due date is a week from Monday. Now I can officially say, "I am ready". Last Sunday after the morning church service, I came home cleaned the kitchen, organized the attic, pulled the cushions off the couch and vacuumed it, made a drop off at the good will and took the car to the car wash and cleaned it inside and out. My family thought I was going to give birth within the next couple of days because of all that nesting. I still have a big ole belly, trying to wait patiently. I must say, I feel wonderful. The sleepless nights can be rough, but all in all I'm feeling good, so I can't complain. I would love for this baby to come any day, however, Brian still has some things at work he needs to finish up first. Abby is ready to officially be a big sister. She talks about Leah coming out, playing with her and giving her hugs and kisses.

P.S. Don't mind the look on my face in this photo. I think belly photos are awkward and taking them of yourself on timer doesn't help the matter. My favorite came out blurry and I didn't feel like taking more :)
