A few weeks ago it was really nice out, so after Abby's first swim lesson at the Y, she helped Daddy wash the cars.

What we've been up to...

We are pretty boring lately in our blogging life. We've actually been quite sick this week. Abby had strep throat and a double ear infection. I'm pretty sure she has a sinus infection too. She passed on strep to me, so Brian had to take care of all three of us girls on Monday. He made homemade chicken noodle soup, brought us our juice and drugs and made sure Leah was away from the germ radius. It has taken some time, but we are slowly recovering and hoping to be back in our normal routine by next week.

Leah started talking yesterday. It was more like cooing, but it was quite funny. Brian came home from work and asked what I did with his quiet daughter. She is jabbering all the time now to her stuffed friends. It's just amazing how quickly it happens. I try to stop and watch as often as I can. I am truly enjoying every moment.

A weekend in Vermont

Due to a wedding we were photographing in Vermont, we had the privilege of spending the weekend up there. It was great to get away for a couple of days and relax. May-May and Poppy were able to tag along with us to watch the girls during the wedding (thanks so much you guys!) and all had a great time. You can check out some of the photos we took at the wedding by checking at the 47 Moments blog. On Saturday night after the wedding, we had the great joy of getting to hear Leah's first laugh. She was full of little giggles!

On the way home, we stopped by the Yankee Candle flagship store in Deerfield, MA. There's a lot to see (and buy!) there and Abby had a blast exploring all of the different areas. She especially liked the castle area and the giant nutcracker. She also got to have her face painted while she was there...what else would a princess want than a wand!

When we got home last night, we turned on the Olympics and quickly discovered that Abby might just be a future figure skater in training. Here's a couple video clips of how she chooses to cheer on our Olympians...

So blessed...

Today I was playing with a new lens and used it on my favorite subjects. So often, I just sit and hug my babies and think how blessed I am. I just can't thank God enough for allowing me to experience motherhood with two beautiful, healthy girls. While Abby was napping, Leah and I had some fun. Every week she seems to progress more and grow up. It's happening a lot faster than Abby from what I remember. I have to make an effort to take more pictures this time around too. I love it though. Each day is such a special gift and I don't want to miss any of these precious times.















































































Lately Leah has been really responding to Abby. It's the cutest thing to watch and very helpful. Sometimes I have Abby come entertain Leah so I can get something done. It will be even more fun when they can actually play nicely together.
