I've been pretty slack about updating our personal blog because we have been crazy busy with our photography. After the kids are in bed and asleep, it's about 7:45 or 8. That is when I am editing photos, answering emails, and blogging for 47 Moments Photography. Meanwhile, Brian is working on finances/accounting, researching business ideas and marketing. We are often up very late, sometimes until 2 or 3 in the morning. We have also taken the time to network with other photographers and have made a lot of friends through the business. Overall we are very happy with how the business is developing and growing. We have so many ideas swarming around our heads of what we would like to do next or where we want to be, but we know we must take it one day at a time. Our girls are so important to us and we value the time we get to spend with them. We consider our family very blessed for exactly where God has us at this time. We give it all to him. We are thankful for our healthy, beautiful children, the blessing of working well together as husband and wife and our wonderful church community.
The girls are growing quickly. I absolutely LOVE being a mom. I just can't hug, squeeze and kiss them enough. I take random breaks throughout the day and just give Abby a look. She knows exactly what it means and gets all giddy. I wrap my arms around her, hold her very tight and kiss her cheeks. I love hearing her giggle and tell me that I am her best friend. I cherish each one of those moments and can't thank God enough.
I definitely do the same with Leah, but of course, she communicates differently. Her personality isn't the same as Abby's. She is a little more reserved. Although, both children are very friendly and agreeable. Leah puts up with a lot from her big sister. Abby is pretty rough with Leah and sometimes her being overprotective isn't the best. Leah is at the stage where she is getting into everything. If you drop a studded earring on the floor, put her down and she'll be the first to find it. She loves to climb the stairs, especially when no one is looking. She also loves bath time and dogs. She is a great eater. A few of her favorites are beans (black and kidney), peas, squash and meat.
Abby goes to pre-school three afternoons a week and she loves it. Her favorite activity is art, especially play dough. She is a social butterfly and comes home talking about her friends and singing songs. Often she will say something and I will ask where she learned it, she tells me, "pre-school". It's been so good for her to get out of the house on a regular basis and take ownership of something that is completely hers. She is becoming more and more independent and wants to figure things out on her own. Something else she LOVES to do right now is play dress up. If I let her she would wear a skirt or dress everyday, all day. One Friday night she was wearing a skirt with a t-shirt and asked if she could wear it to bed. To her surprise, I said yes and she replied, THANK YOU MOM! She loves having her nails done and playing with her baby dolls. I even caught her planting a big kiss on her friend, Nathan, when he was over for a play date. Needless to say, Nathan was not fond of it :)
I could go on forever about the girls, so I will continue this post with pictures taken with our phones. These are the images that weren't really planned. They are just us in our daily lives.

This is what happens when you have rear facing and front facing car seats sitting next to each other. Forget all the rules with baby #2. There are somethings that just happen.

Over the summer we were driving in the car and I randomly asked Abby what she wanted to be for Halloween. Without hesitation she told me she wanted to be a scarecrow. Never once did she change her mind or waiver her decision. It was so cute. I had to make it happen.
