It's amazing how encouraging people can be to pregnant women when they see their bodies growing. Earlier this week I had a comment bring me to tears and now all Brian and I can do is laugh about them. I know people mean well. I've had my share of comments to pregnant people without realizing the potential damage one little sentence could do. So, in honor of all of these comments I have decided to jot them down and see if I can find the best one out there. If you have a good one that someone has said to you or you have heard from someone else feel free to share for a good laugh!
Here are a few from this week... (I am 28 weeks prego, so that's like 3 months to go!)
"You swallowed a watermelon this summer, huh?"
"You look like you're about to give birth any day now."
Not even words, just someone's eyes getting as large as possible as they stare at my stomach.

Aww Rachel, I just looked at your recent photos of you on here and thought to myself how beautiful you look. People are so funny sometimes...
Here's a couple comments I got...
Twins? (Me: Nope, just one!) Are you sure?
And this guy at work asked me when I was pregnant with Nathan..
Where do you get your clothes...at a tent sale?
You look absolutely beautiful girl! All you can do is laugh.
I have one for you:
A lady in our church once had me turn all the way around so she could see if I was also gaining weight from the back. :)
I agree, you look absolutely radiant!
What about "when is the baby due?" when i'm not pregnant!? ruh-roh.
Remember when Yogo Queen told me I was fat!
We went into the new frozen yogurt joint near my house, because I new you would love this stuff. Yogo Queen is special because you can make up your own frozen yogurt sundae, then they weigh it and you pay by the ounce. Well we were going to share the sundae...lowfat frozen yogurt might you recall...so I loaded the cup with a little of everything. When we went to check-out Yogo Queen asked me how far along I was, and I said 8 months. She proceeded to tell me that I should watch my weight this far into my pregnancy. Oh boy! I haven't been back since. Looks like her comment went a long ways for her business!
Just as hurtful are the comments random people make when they find out that you are not breast feeding your baby. Maybe if they knew why you weren't breast feeding they would understand. URG!
Just ignore these people... God thinks you are absolutely beautiful and that is all that counts!
How about the opposite: I was like 4 or 5 months preggo and was told that I wasn't showing at all......thanks!
